Althea Harper is a fashion designer and entrepreneur who manages her own fashion line ALTHEA HARPER, children’s line LILIAS & LOVE and is head designer for MIRA RAE. With a cutting edge style that combines both tailoring and draping to make silhouettes appear strong and beautiful, Althea Harper is one of the breakthrough fashion designers in today’s industry. Althea’s style reflects her experience working alongside many renowned designers, including Anna Sui, Zac Posen, Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood. Her designs have received much praise from industry leaders such as Tim Gunn, host of Project Runway. Althea’s designs have won the attention of many, including passionate Project Runway fans and some of the entertainment industry’s most respected personalities. Bloggers and fans have affectionately labeled her the “fabulous glamazon” and Tommy Hilfiger called her “genius.” Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria, Kerry Washington, Kendall Jenner and the Kardashians are all fans of her designs. Althea attended both University of Cincinnati School of Design and Central Saint Martins in London. After graduation she became a finalist on Project Runway Season 6 where she finished as runner up. Upon completion of filming, Althea moved to New York City where Tory Burch invited her to become a part of the label’s design team. While designing for Tory Burch, she continued to build her own line, ALTHEA HARPER, which has shown consistently in New York fashion week since its debut in September 2009. Althea now lives in her hometown, Dayton, Ohio, with her husband and daughter where she enjoys juggling family and designing.
Alexandra Weibel is a talented fashion and graphic designer who specializes in activewear and technical motion costume design. She attended school at the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP, one of the best design schools in the country, and has designed activewear for ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, and aerial acrobats. In addition to fashion and costume design, Alexandra is also a Star Performer at a circus as an aerial silks artist, trapeze artist, fire performer, is in all three of their different traveling shows, and so much more! Being a performer herself gives her a unique perspective on what is functional and how to keep it comfortable while still looking great! A dedicated worker, Alexandra continues to perform, is one of the circus's top talents, and works to grow as a performer all while still hard at work full time as the design manager for Mira Rae.
